Massive Heart Attack Symptoms

Introduction

Massive heart attack symptoms or severe heart attack symptoms includes severe chest pain and it divided in to myocardial infarction, heart arrhythmias and sudden death.

Myocardial infarction(heart Attack)

This condition is due to complete occlusion of blood vessel.

Symptoms of myocardial infarction

Difficulty in breathing,

vomiting,

Sweating,

Irregular heart beats,

Patient shows the expression of impending death.

Decreased blood pressure,

Syncope or collapse are common features,

The site of the pain is same as angina(chest,throat,arms,upper abdomen and upper back) but it will be severe in nature.

The patient should be hospitalized immediately.

Heart Failure(Congestive cardiac failure)

This is due to heart dysfunction due to loss of blood supply to the heart muscle.

Symptoms of heart failure

Extreme tiredness,

poor effort tolerance,

cold hands and legs,

low blood pressure,

decreased urination,

difficulty in breathing in standing or lying down position,

sudden breathlessness during good sleep(Orthopnoea),

swollen legs during long travel(Dependant Pedal edema),

Urge to urinate during sleep,

nausea,

Vomiting,

Decreased food intake and indigestion not relieved by taking antacids(Digene,Gelucil) and H2 receptor antogonist(Ranitidine,Zinetac),

Arrythmias(Irregular heart)

This due to irregular heart function.

Symptoms of arrhythmias

Irregular heart function is usually identified by the patient by palpitation and restlessness.

Sudden Death

Caused by severe heart dysfunction(arrythmia) and acute myocardial infarction(Heart Attack)
